The Five Senses (Stagecraft Summer Series)

$400.00

The Five Senses is an immersive, interdisciplinary arts experience that invites students to explore creativity through how they perceive and interact with the world. By centering sight, sound, touch, smell, and imagination, this week helps students build awareness, emotional literacy, and expressive confidence through hands-on artmaking and creative play.

Rather than treating the senses as separate ideas, students learn how perception, emotion, and creativity are deeply connected. Through visual art, theater, movement, and storytelling, students are encouraged to slow down, notice details, and translate their experiences into original creative work.

This week is especially supportive for students who learn best through doing, moving, and making, and for those who benefit from open-ended exploration rather than rigid instructions.

What Students Will Explore Throughout the Week (Using theater and visual art):

πŸ‘οΈ Sight, Color & Visual Storytelling

πŸ”Š Sound, Rhythm & Listening

βœ‹ Touch, Texture & Movement

🌿 Smell, Memory & Imagination

🎭 Sensory Synthesis & Creative Choice

πŸŽ‰ Friday Share Day – The Five Senses

On Friday, families are invited to a relaxed Share Day during the final portion of the day. Students will share selected artwork, collaborative pieces, and short creative demonstrations from the week.

This is not a formal performanceβ€”it’s a celebration of exploration, creativity, and growth. Students may explain their work, show pieces in progress, or participate in simple group activities that highlight what they’ve been discovering all week.
