Change Makers Studio (ages 7-11)
What do you care about most—and how can you use your voice to make a difference? In The Change Makers Studio, students will explore the power of visual storytelling to stand up for the causes that matter to them. Students will observe and discuss subjects such as bullying and mental health, climate change, food insecurity, animal rights, national forest preservation, education access, and more, making this class a space to turn passion into purpose through art.
Students will choose a social issue close to their heart and create original, message-driven, meaningful artwork designed to spark awareness, empathy, and action. Along the way, we’ll build community, practice respectful dialogue, educate eachother, and learn how creativity can be one of the most powerful tools for change.
⚠️ This class focuses on universal human issues—not partisan politics. All voices are welcome here.
Tuesdays from 5:00-7:00
August 5 - November 4 (2hrs/wk for 16 weeks= 32 hours)
Performance November 11 @ 6
32 hours / $280.00= $8.75 per class ($4.38 per hour)
