Content Creation (16-18)
Go behind the ring light and learn what really makes a video go viral. In Content Creation, students will explore the art and strategy of digital storytelling—discovering how to turn their creativity, passion, and personality into scroll-stopping content that connects with audiences.
Guided by techniques used by mega-viral creators, students will learn how to conceptualize, plan, film, and edit short-form videos designed for modern platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. Whether their focus is makeup, acting, fashion, comedy, or another creative niche, each student will craft content that reflects their unique artistic voice while learning what drives engagement and authenticity online.
From storytelling structure and trend analysis to lighting, framing, and editing basics, students will gain a professional-level understanding of how creativity meets algorithm—and how to use both to share their work with the world. The class culminates in an end-of-course digital showcase, where students present their standout content pieces in a celebratory premiere.
By the end of the course, students will gain:
Foundational skills in video production and editing using smartphones and accessible tools
An understanding of storytelling for digital platforms and how to build an engaging narrative in under a minute
Techniques for lighting, framing, pacing, and composition that make content visually pop
Insight into digital trends and audience engagement strategies
