In The Transformation Lab, students will discover the incredible world of theatrical makeup and special effects while learning the artistic techniques that bring characters to life on stage and screen.

From silly monsters and fantasy creatures to bruises, scars, aging makeup, and colorful stage characters, every class is packed with hands-on creativity, imagination, and a little bit of movie magic.

Students will become character designers, learning how makeup helps tell a story before a character even speaks.

Throughout the session, students will explore:

Each class combines demonstrations, hands-on projects, creative challenges, and collaborative activities where students design and create original theatrical looks while learning the techniques used by actors and makeup artists around the world.

By the end of the session, students will have built an exciting portfolio of makeup designs, gained confidence using professional tools, and discovered how art, theatre, and storytelling come together to create unforgettable characters.

  • Tuesdays 5:30pm-7:00pm

  • Final showcase: Tuesday, December 8, 2026 @ 5:30pm
